Curtis W. Chambers

Experience

Curtis W. Chambers is a financial adviser in the Largo area community. For over two decades, his focus has been planning and investment management for families, retirees, and small businesses.

Curtis founded the Chambers Financial Group in 2009 with the goal of providing independent wealth management centered upon objective advice. He began his career in 1997 with Edward Jones, where he managed the Clearwater office on Belleair Road for twelve years. 

He is a Registered Representative with LPL Financial, the nation's largest independent broker dealer.

Education

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.
  • Bachelor of Arts in English, Cum Laude and PHI BETA KAPPA from the University of Arkansas.
  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner through the CFP Board of Standards.

Community

Curtis serves on the Board of the Community Service Foundation in Clearwater. He is past President of St Patrick School PTO and is on the school's Advisory Council.

Curtis served in the Florida Army National Guard. Curtis lives with his wife and sons in Largo.

Thomas Barnhorn

Thomas M. Barnhorn has served Seminole and Pinellas County as a financial advisor since 2004 and has over 16 years experience in the financial industry. Thom offers unbiased financial advice designed to lead clients more efficiently towards long-term financial stability through strategies tailored toward each client's individual needs. Thom is a Registered Representative with LPL Financial.

Thom is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) through the College for Financial Planning. Thom specializes in financial planning, retirement planning, portfolio reviews & analysis. 

He earned a B.S. in Finance and Information Systems Management from the University of South Florida, St Petersburg.

Thom has a commitment to public service, and has served on the City of Seminole City Council as a Councilor since 2006.

Heather Chambers

Heather joined Chambers Financial Group in March 2009. She has over two decades of administrative experience in the financial services industry.

Prior to joining Chambers Financial Group, Heather held client relationship positions at Franklin Templeton Investments and Edward Jones. Heather is a graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee.

You may notice the same last name. Curtis and Heather worked together for 8 years at the Edward Jones office Curtis managed on Belleair road before getting married in 2006. They now have two children, Logan and Tanner.

Outside of her work at Chambers Financial Group, Heather is a busy mother and is in the St Patrick's School PTO.

Office Administrator

Michelle L. Young

Michelle Young is an invaluable asset to Chambers Financial Group. Her attention to detail ensures that our customers receive the high-quality service they desire. She is a leader and team player. She studied forensic science at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) where she received her bachelor’s degree. Since joining our team she has been certified in 14 finance-related areas.

She produces high quality written and verbal communications that are clear and professional. Her proven organizational skills and ability to multitask while handling multilevel financial accounts is integral to customer satisfaction and successful outcomes. Michelle is an indispensable, valued staff member.



Office Administrator

Cathy Ralston

An English Major with a degree from the University of Connecticut, Cathy is experienced in the Administrative, Customer Service, Account Management, and Purchasing areas.  


Her experience was gained in ten plus years of service with Sikorsky Aircraft and ten plus years with Omega Engineering.  After moving to Florida, Cathy is excited to be at Chambers Financial Group where she looks forward to meeting and working our clients.
